Aion 2 equipment comparison - Noble or Splendent Greatsword?

For a Gladiator, the tradable Splendent Noble Dragon Lord Greatsword has the higher base Attack: 489–661 against 463–627 on the tradable Noble Dragon Lord Greatsword. The gap is +26 on the low end and +34 on the high end. Required level stays 45. The equipment comparison shows that gap against the first sword. It does not turn the gap into a damage score, and it does not tell you the higher sword is worth the materials.

The Splendent sword adds 26 to the low end and 34 to the high end of base Attack.

What is already on every copy?

Base attributes are the lines every copy has, before enhancement. On the tradable Noble sword they are Attack 463–627, Accuracy 100, Critical Hit 150, PvE Damage Boost 5%, and Block 150. The Splendent sword keeps Accuracy, Critical Hit, Block, and the 5% PvE Damage Boost. Attack is the base line that moves.

Random attributes are a separate list. These swords list a pool and a slot count. They do not list the lines on the copy in your inventory, so two copies of the same sword look identical here even when their rolls do not. The tradable Noble sword, the non-tradable Noble sword, the Splendent sword, and the Guardian High Commander Greatsword list the same pool, including Might 81–100, Precision 81–100, Attack 32–44, and Weapon Damage Boost 14.9–17.2%. Slot count is the split: Noble and Splendent have 6 random attribute slots, and the Guardian sword has 5. Open "Compare possible random attributes" for the pool. The heading there is the warning: those lines are possible rolls, not attributes every copy has.

A possible roll pool is separate from the base attributes on every copy.

When does the higher Attack lose?

The Guardian greatsword is also Heroic and item level 108, with the same Attack 463–627 as the Noble sword. Where the Noble sword lists PvE Damage Boost 5%, the Guardian sword lists PvP Damage Boost 10%. Those are different attributes. The comparison will not subtract 5% from 10% or print one combined score. Each name keeps its own row. "Not listed" means the other sword does not list that attribute. It does not supply a value to subtract.

The Guardian sword can be used by both factions. The Noble sword is Elyos only. Both require Gladiator, and both list required level 45. The Guardian sword is not tradable, personal trade is no, and its acquisition is Trade Shop and Crafting. The tradable Noble sword is crafted, tradable, and personally tradable.

A second Noble Dragon Lord Greatsword carries the same Attack, class, faction, and required level, with tradable and personal trade both set to no. If the Attack matches, the trade rule is the decision. The column header says Tradable or Not tradable so the two swords that share a name stay distinct. Compare those two Noble swords with differences only: the matching Attack row drops out, the headers retain tradability, and the personal-trade row remains.

Matching base attributes do not make tradable and non-tradable copies interchangeable.

Item level 114 on the Splendent sword leaves the listed required level at 45. Maximum enhancement is +20 on each of these three swords. That row is a cap, not the enhanced Attack. Stone slots stay at 5 and Theostone slots stay at 1, so a differences-only view hides them.

What should you do with an off-class drop?

A weapon your class cannot equip can still have a use. Start with the requirements and permissions on that exact copy, before equipping it or placing it in a bulk extraction selection.

DecisionWhat to check first
Keep for your characterClass, faction and required level, then its actual rolls and the role the item fills. A higher item level alone does not settle the comparison.
Keep for another characterWhether the item permits server storage. The server store is shared by characters on that server; a character store is separate. Non-tradable does not by itself answer the storage question.
Sell or tradeThe copy's market and personal-trade permissions. Soul engraving an unengraved item on first equip removes its ability to be traded.
ExtractThe selected items, possible returns and cost in the extraction confirmation. Extraction destroys the selected equipment.

Single-click an item to inspect it. Double-clicking equips or uses it, so opening the details is the safer way to check a potentially valuable unengraved drop. Lock equipment you want to keep before selecting unwanted pieces. The item information also exposes its class, storage and trade restrictions; the catalogue's general record does not replace those checks on the copy you actually own.

Review the selected equipment and possible returns before confirming extraction.

The Taiwan item guide describes extraction as a way to obtain Enhancement Stones or equipment appearances by chance. It separately says that extracting enhanced equipment returns all Enhancement Stones used on it. That does not promise a refund of Kinah or every other resource spent on the item, and it does not make every listed appearance a guaranteed return.

If you cannot yet decide between keeping and extracting, leave the item locked while checking its storage permission and appearance. Do not salvage an off-class drop solely because it cannot improve the character currently holding it.

What does the set change?

The Guardian greatsword is not a member of Guardian High Commander Tribulation. The set is on other pieces, including the Guardian High Commander Breastplate and the Guardian High Commander Necklace. At two pieces the set lists Abyss PvE Damage Boost 25%, PvP Damage Boost 5%, and PvE Damage Boost -5%. The PvE penalty is one of those lines. At five pieces the lines are Abyss PvE Damage Boost 30%, PvP Damage Tolerance 5%, and PvE Damage Boost -5%. That PvP line is tolerance, not another damage boost. At eight pieces they are Abyss PvE Damage Boost 35%, PvP Damage Boost 10%, and PvE Damage Boost -5%. At twelve pieces they are Abyss PvE Damage Boost 50%, PvP Damage Tolerance 10%, and PvE Damage Boost -5%.

The comparison names the set on a member. It does not add the set lines into the greatsword's Attack. A greatsword and a breastplate are different categories, and the page says to compare attributes while checking requirements before you treat one as a replacement.

Each set threshold retains its PvE damage penalty alongside its other bonuses.

How do you read baseline and differences only?

The first column is the baseline. Every printed difference is against that column only. With the tradable Noble sword first, Splendent Attack reads +26 / +34 vs baseline. Choose "Use as baseline" on the Splendent sword and the same Attack reads -26 / -34. The sign follows which column is first. It is not a recommendation to equip either sword.

"Differences only" hides rows whose displayed values match, including Accuracy 100, Critical Hit 150, and Block 150 on these three swords. Attack, the PvE line, the PvP line, item level, faction, trade, slot count, and acquisition stay visible. Use "Show all attributes" to bring the matching rows back. A range compares low end with low end and high end with high end. "pp" marks percentage points. These Attack gaps are flat numbers, so they are not in "pp".

This link opens the three greatswords with the Noble sword as baseline and differences only already on: Noble, Splendent, and Guardian greatswords.

The picker keeps the two trade variants separate before they enter the comparison.

How do you save it and send it?

The comparison holds three pieces. The selection is stored in this browser. Share link copies the columns on screen, including differences only when that view is on. Opening your link shows those items and leaves the other person's saved comparison unchanged until they edit it. Opening the tool with no items in the address restores the selection saved on that device. Clear comparison stores an empty selection and returns to the equipment picker.

If the browser cannot store the selection, the page says the comparison could not be saved and the share link still opens the same items.

The comparison does not price an upgrade. Korea enhancement costs belong to Korea's regular equipment rates. Do not use that plan as the cost of these Taiwan swords.
