Privacy Policy

Browsing the database and using its tools do not require sign-in. Tool drafts and computed results stay in your browser. You can sign in with Google, Discord, Steam or Twitch. Google gives the site your email address and name, Discord gives your display name or username, Twitch gives your display name, and Steam gives only your Steam account number. The site keeps what the provider returned, together with the provider's account identifier, in a signed cookie in your browser. It uses your email address for nothing else. The server keeps a hash of each issued session cookie and its expiry so it can validate the session and revoke it when you sign out; this record contains no provider profile information.
Signing in synchronizes browser plans and results to your account without removing their browser copies. They are stored privately on the site under a code derived from your provider and its account identifier, never under your email address or name. Saved-plan and result controls let you remove records; the confirmation states which copies will be removed. A minimal record identifier remains to prevent a delayed retry from restoring a deleted account record.
Comments, corrections and screenshots are public only after moderation. Waiting and rejected contributions are visible to their author and moderators. Approved contributions appear with a public name and a link to that player's approved contributions. You can choose that name separately in Account; sign-in names, email addresses and provider account identifiers are not published. Helpful feedback is associated with your account to allow one vote per contribution; public pages show its count, not a list of voters.
The Aion 2 DB browser extension sends the text you type into its search box or after its address bar keyword, or select for a lookup, to aion2.tools so the site can return matches. It sends nothing else and has no account.
We use Google Analytics and PostHog for traffic. We care about general traffic (how many people visit), not about tracking you as an individual.
