Goods in Aion 2 are sold in many kinds of shop and paid for in several currencies. The shop browser lists every shop with its goods, the price in each currency and the purchase limit, so the question "where can I buy this and for what" has one page per shop. This guide covers how to read a shop and what the four trade shops sell.
Finding the shop that sells what you want
The browser filters shops by name, by type and by the currency they are paid in, and sorts them in game order or by name. The types are:
- NPC shop: the merchants in the world, such as the Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Cooking and Armorsmithing shops, the Centuryroot Token Shop and the command shops of Verteron, Altgard and Chaotic Lower and Middle Reshanta.
- Coin shop: shops paid in a currency earned in play, including the trade shops, the Festival Shop, the Season Shop and the Pass Shops.
- Event shop: shops that open for an event, such as the Festive Bell Shop, the Fresh Lime Shop and the Fortune Pouch Shop.
- Cash shop and Random shop: the Atelier, Quna Shop and Mileage take cash currencies, and Black Cloud Merchants is the random shop.
The Paid in filter answers the other direction: pick Abyss Points, Arena Token, Phantasmal Fragment or Oath Coin and only the shops that take it remain. An item's own page also lists the shops that sell it, under Sold at.
Skins, wings, enhancement items and consumables of the Abyss, Nightmare and Arena trade shops.
Reading a row
Each good shows its item, its price and its terms. Several prices can stand side by side, and a good can ask for two currencies at once. The terms a row can carry:
- A purchase limit: how many, whether it counts per character or per account, and whether it resets daily, weekly or monthly. A limit with no reset is a total for the character.
- A character level, such as "Character Lv. 45 or above", or a level cap.
- A race or class condition.
- A date window, for event goods.
Shops with goods for both races list each side separately, so the Light and Dark lists of a shop can differ.
The trade shops
Four coin shops carry the names of the Abyss, Nightmare, Arena and Battlefield. They sell armor skins, wings, enhancement items and consumables.
Trade Shop (Abyss) takes Abyss Points, plus Silver Medals of Merit for the top skins. Its Light and Dark sides have the same sections at the same prices and limits:
| Section | Examples | Price | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consumables | Lesser Abyssal Manastone and Soulstone, Life Brew, Wind Brew, Rare Theostone Selection Chest | 500 to 35,000 Abyss Points | 50 a week on the stones |
| Growth | Daevanion Crystal: Azphel, Stigma Shard, Fierce Battle Amulet Enhance Scroll, Potential Stone: Abyss | 10,000 to 150,000 Abyss Points | 5 to 50 per character in all, or 2 to 8 a week per account on the Potential Stone |
| Skins | Decanus pieces (Guardian for Light, Archon for Dark), then Centurion pieces | 45,300 to 90,600 Abyss Points for Decanus | 1 per character |
| Wings | Warrior Wings, Brawler Wings | 200,000 and 800,000 Abyss Points | 1 per character |
| Medal | Silver Medal of Merit | 10,000 Abyss Points | 10 a week |
The Centurion skins cost 147,100 Abyss Points and 40 Silver Medals of Merit for the seven armor pieces, and 294,300 Abyss Points and 80 medals for the necklace and earrings. This shop sells at most 10 medals a week to a character, so the 40 medals of one Centurion armor piece are four weeks of buying here.
Trade Shop (Battlefield) and the first part of Trade Shop (Arena) sell the same goods as the Abyss shop at the same prices and limits, without the medal. The Arena shop adds a second list paid in Arena Tokens: Sealing Wings for 1 Arena Token, seven Howling Dragon skins at 1 token each, Lesser Manastone and Lesser Soulstone bundles of 10 for 3 tokens with 30 a week, Rare Theostone Chest, Refining Stone Chest, Life Crystal and Battle Enhance Scroll at 1 token each with weekly limits of 5 to 30, Devotion Rune Enhance Scroll at 1 token without a limit, and Daevanion Crystal: Azphel at 1 token with 50 in all.
Trade Shop (Nightmare) is paid in Phantasmal Fragments. Soul Codex costs 400 fragments for 5 books with 5 purchases a week, and Soul Codex: Reset costs 8,000 with 3 a week. Stigma Shard costs 1,500 with 35 in all and Daevanion Crystal 300 with 50 in all. Conqueror Wings cost 20,000, Nightmare Wings 160,000. The Awakened and Eternal Horn skins run from 5,300 for gloves and cloak to 10,800 for the breastplate, and the Season 1 statues and Zikel's Apparition colossus cost 5,000 to 14,000.
Other currencies have their own shops: Centuryroot Tokens at the Centuryroot Token Shop and the Festival Shop, Oath Coins at the Season Shop and Daeva Pass Shop Coins at the Elyos and Asmodian Pass Shops.
